Merc. 111, als Erfindung des Hermes bezeichnet ; übh. Feuerzeug, Soph. Phil. 36 ; vgl. Plat. τάχ' ἂν τρίβοντες ὥσπερ ἐκ πυρείων ἐκλάμψαι ποιήσαιμεν τὴν δικαιοσύνην, Rep.
