Κῷος (sc. βόλος), ὁ, the highest throw with the ἀστράγαλοι, opp. Χῖος, Hsch. ; τὰ κῷα are the inner, τὰ χῖα the outer, sides of the huckle-bones (< ἀστράγαλοι), Arist. HA 499b28 (κῶλα and ἰσχία codd.), cf. Cael. 292a29 (v.l.). Κῷον (sc. ἱμάτιον), τό, a light semi-transparent garment, made at Cos, Hsch. a measure of wine, Ostr.
