* Cold to trembling, shivering (ante- and post-class.): querqueram frigidam cum tremore a Graeco κάρκαρα certum est dici, unde et carcer. Lucilius: Jactans me ut febris querquera, the ague, Paul. ex Fest. p. 256 Müll.; so, febris querquera, Plaut. Fragm. ap.
