Antiqu. p. 55.—Hence, pausātus, a, um, P. a., that has halted or paused; at rest, resting (post-class.): jumentum,Veg. Vet. 1, 38: et sauciat pectus pausatae circa arboris robur (i. e. quiescentis in antro),Arn. 5, 160 dub. (al. pausate).
