* V. dep. a. and n. id., to glory, boast, vaunt, to brag of any thing, pride one's self on any thing (class.); constr. with acc., or an object- or relativeclause, with abl., de, in aliqua re, or absol.
* With acc. of pron. (cognate acc.): vellem equidem idem posse gloriari quod Cyrus,Cic. de Sen. 10, 32: ut de me ipso aliquid more senum glorier,id. ib. 23, 82: in eum haec gloriantem impetum facit,Liv. 1, 12, 9.—With direct object (post-class. and rare; cf.
