Aeaea (noun F) : Αἰαίη, acc. to fable
* The island in the Tyrrhene Sea where the Circe of Homer had her abode, and where, acc. to Plin. 3, 5, 9, § 58, the later Circeii was situated, now called Monte Circello. Acc. to Mela, 2, 7 med., it was the abode of Calypso.
