Proper name: ACA'CIUS (Ἀκάκιος), a rhetorician, of Caesarea in Palestine, lived under the emperor Julian, and was a friend of Libanius. (Suidas, s. v. Ἀκάκιος, Λιβάνιος: Eunapius, Acacii Vit.) Many of the letters of Libanus are addressed to him. (
