just before, ποδῶν A.R. 4.178; cf. ἀποπρό. Thess. ὑππρό, of Time, before, τὰ ψαφίσματα τό τε ὑππρὸ τᾶς γενόμενον δαὶ τὸ τᾶμον the former decree [i.e. that of four years earlier] and the present one, IG 9(2).517.43 (Larissa, iii BC), cf. 512.30 (ibid.); with τᾶς perh. supply ἀμέρας, but the sense of the whole phrase is simply that of Att. πρὸ τοῦ.
