[ι AP 5.176, 12.47, as in ἠρινός, θερινός, χειμερινός ; Arat. 948, AP 6.160 (Antip.Sid.), etc. make ι long, prob. in imitation of ὀπωρινῷ which is a metr. necessity in Hom., v. sub voc.]
