Epict. 2.18.4; ἑ. πρὸς τὴν τέχνην Damocr. ap. Gal. 13.1001. Adv. -κῶς from habit, easily, fluently, γράμματα ἀναγινώσκειν Artem. 1.53, cf. D.S. 3.4, Plu. 2.802f; Comp. -ώτερον Arr. Epict. 3.24.78; but also ἑ. διαμένειν [λίθον] remain fixed in its nature, Porph. Abst. 4.20. ἑ. αἴτια sustaining causes, Chrysipp. Stoic. 2.273 (s.v.l.).
