NA 1.5, Apollod. 1.9.22; ἀπεθέρισα τοὺς προφήτας σου LXX Ho. 6.6 (5); — Med., aor. ἀπεθρισάμην AP 5.236 (Agath.); ἀποθρίξασθαι, of the tonsure of monks, Procop. Arc. 1, al., perhaps from a mistaken etymology, cf. ἀποθρίξαντες τὴν χαίτην Ael. ap. Ar.Byz. Epit. 149.13.
