Adv. 159.11 says ωταν has a long final syllable and two accents; after criticizing earlier theories he derives it from ὦ ἐτᾶν, in which ἐτᾶν is a form of ἔτης, comparing μεγιστᾶν, ξυνᾶν ; accented ὦ τᾶν in S.
