Zen. 430.15 (iii BC), Dsc. 2.163, POxy. 1088.26 (i AD), Aret. CA 1.2; usu. written στρούθιον in codd., but στρούθειον in Orph. l.c., corroborated by the metre and by στρούθεον in PCair. Zen. l.c. ; the metre is doubtful in Eub. l.c. ; both στρούθιον and -ειον are found in PHolm., 15.2, al., 25.22.
