grassy, meadowy, epith. of various towns, Il. 2.697, h.Ap. 224, h.Merc. 88; — masc. λεχεποίης, ου, of the river Asopus, from its grassy banks, Il. 4.383, Orac. ap. Hdt. 9.43. — Hom. has both forms in acc. sg. only; the dat. occurs ap. Hdt. l.c.
