Apoll<\/i>. 39, u. bes. <font color='green'>Lucas<\/font> <i>Progr. von Bonn<\/i> 1841, der von πάλλω, vom Schleudern des Blitzes im Zickzack, ausgehend, gezackt erkl., βῆσσαι, die im Zickzack sich schlängelnden Täler, u. so auch die Felsenpfade, wie die Felseninseln, die von weitem bes. den Anblick vielzackiger Höhen gewähren. Die Meinungen der alten Gramm. (<i>EM<\/i>. 658.2) sind sehr verschieden u. unhaltbar, auch die Ableitung von πάλη, wie δυσπαλής, raub, mühsam, schwierig, ist unhaltbar."
